This means at 1 among 35 adults live with ADHD. Without diagnosis or treatment, those with ADHD have higher risk of mental disorders, and facing negative stigma from the community. They may be called \u2018lazy\u2019 or \u2018stupid\u2019 due to the difficulties that are associated with ADHD.<\/p><p>With a proper diagnosis, adults have the chance to understand the ADHD brain, get treatment and learn coping strategies that can help them manage their symptoms. Thus, it is important to get a thorough assessment to get an accurate diagnosis.<\/p><p>If you score more than 14, we suggest you to get a full ADHD assessment. Ideally, the screening score should be interpreted by trained professionals and with a comprehensive assessment. ADHD diagnosis requires consideration of various factors such including developmental history, current symptoms, and impact on daily life functioning.<\/p><p>An important aspect to emphasize is that although the ASRS-5 is free for clinical use and easy to administer, it should be used as part of a more comprehensive assessment process.
