Frequently Asked Questions

The assessment begins with a 1.5 hour intake session where the clinical psychologist will explore issues, symptoms, and conduct a general mental health screening.

After the intake session, if the screening turns out positive (and ADHD is likely), the clinical psychologist will recommend to proceed with the full assessment.

If you don’t show signs of ADHD during the intake session, you don’t need to proceed with a full assessment.

The clinical psychologist will only recommend a full assessment if there is a possibility that you have ADHD based on the intake session conducted.

The assessment includes developmental history, current symptoms, impact on daily life, academic/work performance, social relationships, and cognitive functioning. The clinical psychologist will also collect information from family members or close relatives (with consent).

Typically 3-5 sessions depending on the complexity of the issue being addressed.

Yes, if you need to conduct additional assessments such as IQ tests or neurocognitive tests.

After all assessment sessions are completed, a briefing session will be scheduled to discuss the results and treatment recommendations. The overall duration will depend on your schedule and willingness to undergo all the required sessions.

Assessment reports are optional. You may opt for the package with or without report.

Should you opt for no report, you may separately request for a full report after the assessment concluded with a payment of RM300.

As the assessment is done by clinical psychologists, Minda Inklusif is only able to provide psychotherapy intervention for ADHD, but not medication.

Medication must be prescribed by a licensed medical doctor.

If the clinical psychologist thinks that medication can help in your treatment, the clinical psychologist will help make a referral to a psychiatrist for further treatment.
