Have you done a mental health check-up?

If you haven’t before, a mental health screening is the first step to understand your current mental health state. This process helps to identify your current mental health state, understand better the issues you face, and provide answers regarding the processes of psychological assessments and psychotherapy.

WHAT CAN YOU EXPECT IN A SCREENING SESSION?

Pre-Assessment Test

Depending on the symptoms, a brief test would be given to observe the type and severity of the symptoms. The therapist will discuss with you the results of this test during the session.

Discussion and Expectation

To begin assessment/psychotherapy might feel like a huge task. Hence, this one-off session provides an opportunity for you to discuss with your therapist and see if it's a good fit for you.

Suggestion and Strategy on Management

From this brief session, the therapist will share suitable techniques for you to manage your symptoms while waiting for your next assessment/psychotherapy session.

Important Note:

This screening session is not an official diagnosis for any mental health condition.

If there is a need for diagnosis, it will be discussed with the therapist.

Frequently Asked Questions

Think of it as an initial mental health check. This process involves a question and answer (Q&A) session with you and the use of recognised psychological assessment tools. Through this method, we examine various aspects of your mental health, including mood, emotions, behaviour, and thought patterns. This approach allows us to gain a comprehensive view of your mental health condition, which in turn helps in more accurate and effective treatment recommendations.

Mental health screening is a brief process and is often completed within a single session. At Minda Inklusif, mental health screening is conducted online for a maximum of 45 minutes per session.

Before the session begins, you will be asked to answer a series of pre-session psychological screening assessments. The results of this assessment will be discussed during the consultation session with the therapist. During the session, the therapist will observe your symptoms and provide guidance on your next steps. This may include recommendations for follow-up assessment or psychotherapy treatment that is appropriate for your needs.

Take proactive steps to understand your mental health and seek the professional support you need.

No. This screening is more of an initial assessment to see if further assessment or treatment is needed. Diagnosis, on the other hand, involves a more in-depth assessment that will be conducted by our qualified registered clinical psychologists.

Screening results can help you better understand your mental health and determine whether you might benefit from additional support or treatment. By identifying mental health issues early, you can take preventative measures or, if they are at a more serious stage, you would be able to know what steps to take to receive treatment.

Psychological tests available online are intended to provide a brief overview of  your mental health status. If you find that you may be experiencing symptoms of a mental disorder, you may want to consider talking to a therapist. A therapist can help explain the results and discuss options to help you feel better.

Screening tests are not diagnoses. Diagnosis can only be made by licensed clinical psychologists and psychiatrists.
